This degree has developed excellent links with London Wasps and the Rugby Football Union and prepares students for a career in the rugby industry. The programme includes a practical introduction to sports management. Students gain the knowledge needed to gain employment in the rugby sector. Areas covered include sport management, coaching skills, contemporary issues in sport, legal issues related to sport, and business management. Students will apply business management concepts to the rugby industry.

There is an increasing demand for well-qualified staff in all areas of the rapidly expanding sports industry, and within the rugby sector (e. grassroots rugby; professional clubs). Recent graduates have worked for Wasps, London Irish and Hong Kong RFU.

Duration: Three years full-time
Attendance: An average attendance of three or three and a half days per week can be expected. Specific days and times of study vary per course and formal timetables are usually issued a month prior to your course start date.
A typical offer will include GCSE Maths and English at grade C or above and a UCAS Tariff score of 200-240. This score can be achieved from passes in two 6-unit GCE A-levels/AVCEs or from a pass in a 12-unit AVCE.
