Burying the past for the future at Bucks

Fast forward 125 years... if you were digging up a time capsule at Buckinghamshire New University site what would you want to find in it?

We will be burying a capsule at the High Wycombe Campus as part of the University's 125th anniversary celebrations this academic year and we want to hear suggestions for items to include.

Dean Valler, PR manager at the University, said: "We have had some brilliant suggestions so far but would like more. It may be something pertinent to your course, or a piece of technology we use now which may be of interest, or maybe photos. Whatever it may be, we would like to hear your suggestions."

The time capsule will be buried at the High Wycombe Campus with a metal plate to commemorate our 125th anniversary.

Bucks New University started as a Science and Art School in the 1800s in Frogmoor, High Wycombe, and has since been through 11 name changes, including High Wycombe College of Technology and Art, Buckinghamshire College of Higher Education and Buckinghamshire College.

We have also produced a short film featuring photos from the last 125 years with help from Bucks Free Press archives, High Wycombe Society and High Wycombe Library.
