Plan your Visit
Following the updated information from the Government regarding Coronavirus (16 March 2020), we have taken the decision to cancel the 28 March Nursing Open Day, as the health and wellbeing of our staff, visitors, and students is paramount and we continue to monitor the situation closely.
We currently hope that the June Open Day will still go ahead as planned. If you have booked for our March Open Day and you would like us to move your booking to our 20 June event, then please email us and we will update your booking.
For information and guidance, visit our dedicated section on our website or check out our social media channels.
Bucks Open Days are a great way to experience what studying with us may feel like. A schedule of presentations, talks and tours happening throughout the event is available to download below. Please note that this schedule does vary between each event and is subject to change.
If you’ve registered to attend, we’ll also send you an email to let you know once the event schedule is available.
Here are a few other tips on how to get the most out of your day:
Plenty of people attend Open Days on their own, but bringing someone else along for support is a great idea. It can be helpful to have a second opinion. Please note that children are welcome on our Open Days. However, we do not have any childcare facilities, and children are unfortunately not allowed in our simulation suites.
If you’ve booked but can no longer make it, please let us know by phone us on 0330 123 2023 or email us. We’ll be able to book you on to our next event if you’re still interested.
At our Nursing Open Days we run two sessions of activities and presentations for our nursing programmes. The content for each session is the same, so you just need to select the time option most suitable for you when you make your booking. If you book on for session one but arrive after the activities have started, you will need to wait for session two to begin and join this instead. During your wait you can attend the information fair, and there will be refreshments available.
If you are attending for our FdSc Assistant Practitioner programme, the activities and presentations run only once during the event, so you should ensure that you arrive promptly for the start of the event so that you don’t miss anything.
Yes, Bucks is a friendly and inclusive environment. If you require assistance, please contact us beforehand so we can enable your visit to run as smoothly as possible.
We will have tea and coffee available for all of our guests.
Our Nursing Open Days are held at our Uxbridge Campus. If you’re taking the tube, the Metropolitan or Piccadilly Lines both run to Uxbridge. The Campus is a short walk through town from the station. If you’re driving, there are three town centre car parks within a short walk of the campus, including The Cedars and The Grainges, and Intu Uxbridge car parks (please note that The Grainges car park closes at 8pm). Our Student Ambassadors will be near the campus, waiting to direct you.
More information can be found on our Visiting Us section.
Please make your way to the Welcome Desk to let us know you’ve arrived, where our friendly team will sign you in and can help with any queries.
We’ve got course talks, simulation sessions and qualification clinics lined up, along with advice from Student Services on things like accommodation and finance. There’s a lot going on so we recommend making a list of priorities for the day, remembering to leave yourself enough time to just relax and soak up the atmosphere on campus.
The Open Day Programme will be available for download before the event. We’ll let you know by email when it’s ready to view. Programmes will also be available on the day so don’t panic if you leave yours at home or haven’t managed to print one off.
Want to know how we use your personal data? Please see bucks.ac.uk/data. Please note that filmmakers and photographers may be on site and operational on the day.
Limited parking is available onsite for Blue Badge Holders. If you require a space place e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org to obtain entry.

Our Open Day will provide you with the chance to speak with academic staff, current students, and staff from student services.
We suggest you have a good think about what you may want to ask, for example, what do you need to know about studying here, the application process or how student finance works?
If you want to ask us something before you arrive please call 0330 123 20 23 or email email@example.com.
