How to apply
If you are a UK or EU applicant, and want to apply for one of our full-time undergraduate courses (or the MSc Social Work, or PGDip Nursing), you’ll need to apply to us through ucas.com.
UCAS are an online application service and you need to get your application to them by 15 January.
If you apply after this date, you will be considered a ‘late application’, but please contact us anyway to see if we still have vacancies available for the course you are interested in.
You can take a look at what our admission process looks like here, and if you have any questions relating to admissions, it’s worth having a look through our FAQs (or nursing FAQs if you’re applying for a nursing course).
Unconditional offer scheme
We also give out unconditional offers to applicants in certain subjects. We select people who we think would excel at Bucks and make a significant contribution to our learning community.
We look at a number of things when we’re considering who to make an unconditional offer to, including:
- academic grade predictions
- interview/portfolio/audition performance
- prior examination performance (such as GCSEs)
- widening participation criteria
- the personal statement
- interaction with us during the application process.
If you are selected for the scheme and make us your first choice university, we will match this commitment by giving you an unconditional offer before you’ve completed your exams.
The scheme is only open for certain courses and we select students for the scheme on the basis outlined above. We will get in touch with you personally if we are considering you for the scheme.
If you don’t achieve the grades needed for your chosen course, you don't have to rule out university altogether. With some compromise on either subject or location, there could still be a course out there for you.
The Clearing process is a way of matching universities that still have spaces on their courses to students who haven’t been offered a place.
Clearing is available from July to September each year.
