Research – Unique Expertise
Design, Media & Management has a vibrant research
culture with groundbreaking work in furniture, visual arts,
advertising, business forecasting, international management,
aviation and tourism management, and sports and leisure. The last
Research Assessment Exercise recognised our ‘world leading’ work in
Europe, America, Asia and Africa. Research Council funded projects
include the Electronic Furniture Archive, and the interface between
Forecasting and Inventory Management.
We specialise in applied research that links
to the private, public and voluntary sectors. This includes
Knowledge Transfer Partnerships with regional businesses and other
organisations, led by knowledge base supervisors from the
University.
