The Disability Discrimination Act 2005 (DDA 2005) requires all
public sector bodies to be proactive in ensuring that disabled
people are treated fairly.
This new duty is about weaving equality for all into our culture
in practical and demonstrable ways. This means including disabled
people and disability equality into everything we do from the
outset.
These pages have been designed to help you meet our duty by
giving details of best practises within the sector. There is also a
