Director of the Human Performance, Exercise & Wellbeing Centre
Expertise: Team Resilience in Elite Sport and Business
Paul is interested in understanding how teams are able to withstand adversity and pressurised situations. He is a member of Loughborough University's Sport Psychology Research Group and has presented at numerous international conferences in the area of team resilience and provided consultancy for international and Olympic teams.
Paul was invited by the Dutch Olympic Performance Manager for the Netherlands Olympic Committee to present his research at the Olympic Centre, Papendal, Arnhem. Professor Paul Wylleman, Belgium’s lead sport psychologist for the Davis Cup Tennis Final against Great Britain, invited Paul to discuss his research with a group of Olympic and elite team coaches of sports including field hockey, handball, and basketball.
Paul has spoken in the media about the benefits England’s cricket and rugby teams could gain from team resilience. He also has expertise in performance psychology across sport and management. You can follow Paul on Twitter at @PCB Morgan.
Dr Richard Mather
Research Reader in Computing & IT
Expertise: Geospatial Technologies, Computing and Web Development
Dr Mather holds postgraduate qualifications in software engineering and environmental sciences. His research concerns ‘geospatial’ computer technologies for environmental monitoring from earth-observation satellites and aerial imagery. Past projects, funded by the UK, EU, overseas development and industry bodies, have concerned the application of geographic information systems (GIS) and earth-observation technologies for environmental monitoring and to map and evaluate vegetation condition.
Examples of major government-funded research has included a multivariate geospatial analysis of the role of climatic and pollution influences of forest condition in the UK, presented as model for Europe; mapping the vegetation of Guyana; long-term monitoring of tree cover in Kenya; and the provision of ‘photomap’ services to community forestry in Nepal.
Ongoing research is supported by coal mining interests in Australia. This involves developing image classification techniques and software to automate vegetation monitoring and mapping from satellite and aerial imagery. In 2010 he was awarded The Institution of Analysts and Programmers Prize for Software Engineering.
Dr Mather also has a leadership role in growing and shaping research in education at the University. He is happy to speak on geospatial technologies (including geographical information systems and remote sensing using satellite, conventional aerial and UAV platforms); environmental and ecological monitoring; vegetation mapping; software engineering; computing education; and technology ‘augmented’ education.

Alan has particular interest in music industry marketing and planning, as well as artist management. Other interests include entrepreneurship in the creative and events industries and examining developing trends in the live and recorded music industries.
Alan has a wealth of professional experience gained prior to joining Bucks in 2006. He worked in senior marketing roles for Polydor and Island Records, before moving in to artist management and representing a number of major international artists. He subsequently established his own marketing and artist management consultancy, called mcb3, which has been involved with a variety of successful projects for major labels and artists in the independent area.

Expertise: Gender, Design and Marketing
Professor Moss can speak about issues surrounding the roles men and women play in organisations and the impact of gender, nationality and personality, on design creations and preferences. Professor Moss also focusses on leadership, including impacts of gender and nationality on leadership style preferences and behaviours and the effect inclusive leadership has on productivity, satisfaction and engagement.
Professor Moss has written four books: Gender, Design and Marketing (2009), Gower; Profiting from Diversity (2010), Lessons on Profiting from Diversity (2012), and Why men like straight lines and women like polka dots (2014). She is also the author of c.7- journal and conference papers.
Professor Moss writes regularly for the media, including Personnel Today; HR Magazine; and The Daily Telegraph. The Independent previously interviewed her for a piece about women and purchasing. Professor Moss is also a regular keynote speaker at conferences.
Senior Lecturer in Performing Arts for the BA (Hons) Performing Arts (Film, TV and Stage)
Expertise: Theatre and Performing Arts
Nic is available to speak on the politics and ethics of devised theatre, as well as drama, theatre and performance pedagogy, live art, and film theory.
He has taught and run workshops for the Royal & Derngate in Northampton, in schools, universities, and for the National Student Drama Festival. He founded the award-winning Small Change Theatre whose productions Long Wave, Red Velvet and Making the Difference, among others, have toured nationally.
Nic has published work on pedagogy and the assessment of devised performance in Research in Drama Education, as well as having written various papers on the philosophy of Jacques Rancière.

Allen is a successful science fiction and fantasy author and professional freelance editor and continues to develop his writing credentials with an array of publications in recent years. His published novels are: Elite: Lave Revolution (2014), The Lord of Wisimir (2013), The Dragon of Wisimir (2012) and The Sword of Wisimir (2012), and A Bag of Bedtime Tales (2011).
Allen’s areas of genre specialism are in science fiction, fantasy and horror. His research includes articles on new media, transmedia narratives, novels, films and games.
Allen writes and reviews regularly for SFbook.com, Concatenation.org and Foundation: The International Journal of Science Fiction. He is studying a PhD at the University of Winchester and has worked as an official writer on the computer games Elite: Dangerous (Frontier Developments) and Chaos Reborn (Snapshot Games). He was recently appointed the editor of the British Fantasy Society Journal.
Allen has written articles for Futurenet Publishing (TotalFX), Geeksyndicate, SFSignal and a selection of other publications.
Dr Lars Mosesson
Senior Lecturer in Law and Head of Graduate Studies in Law
Dr Mosesson has particular interests in national and international human rights, constitutional law, a Bill of Rights, legal theory, and legal education and careers.
Dr Mosesson, a qualified barrister, has been published in a variety of law journals, has organised conferences and public lectures on legal topics since 1973, and has spoken at conferences and on the radio in the UK and the USA. He has written about, and been interviewed on, human rights, a Bill of Rights, the rule of law, legal theory, police powers, criminal law, reform of the constitution, European law, legal education, management, mooting, and environmental issues.
He has been teaching in law schools since 1968, and his experience includes teaching in the USA, Sweden and Germany, as well as at the National Police College. He speaks regularly at schools and sixth-form colleges about studying Law and legal careers.
Dr Mosesson was shortlisted for the Law Teacher of the Year, sponsored by Oxford University Press, in 2014, and has received four prizes at Bucks New University for his inspirational teaching.
Senior Lecturer and Programme Leader of the MA HRM Programme
Expertise: Strategy, organisational change, leadership, occupational stress and wellbeing
Tejal has over 20 years’ experience in senior leadership and HRM roles in global organisations including EY, EON and Capgemini. He has led global restructuring and change programmes, cultural change initiatives, the HR aspects of Mergers & Acquisitions and has devised and implemented competitive and corporate strategies.
Tejal holds postgraduate qualifications in Organisational Leadership and HRM from the Universities of Oxford and Warwick, respectively. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute and of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
Tejal has advised national and international organisations and is a columnist for Changeboard.
Tejal is available to speak on matters concerning Strategy, Mergers and Acquisitions, Organisational Change, Leadership, Occupational Stress and Human Resource Management.
Phillip Wood MBEHead of the School of Management and Professional Studies
Expertise: Business and Security
Phillip Wood MBE is Head of the School of Management and Professional Studies, encompassing a diverse group of multi-disciplinary academic departments. Following a military career he joined the University in 2009, focusing on business continuity, security and organisational resilience academic disciplines. He is responsible for the management and strategic development of the Bucks Business School and the Departments of Computing; Travel and Aviation; and Security and Resilience.
Phil is a Chartered Security professional, a Fellow of the Security Institute, a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, a founder member of the Institute of Leadership and Management, and was awarded Honorary Membership of the Business Continuity Institute in 2015. He also serves on the Risk Management Institution of Australasia Organisational Resilience Special Interest Group.
His main area of academic interest and research is around organisational understandings of emerging risks and his last book, published in 2012 was “Resilient Thinking - Protecting Organisations in the 21st Century”. He is a regular conference speaker, blogger and webinar contributor and publishes frequent articles and commentaries on resilience, continuity and the development and management of emerging risks, including terrorism and global resilience issues.
